Happy New Year! Its a new year and LaneChange.net is pleased to announce
two new services: Email Virus Scanning Gateway Service and Stand Alone
Email Hosting Service.
The virus scanning service is perfect for clients who run their own
email server and are looking to add virus scanning to it. The stand
alone email hosting service is perfect for clients looking for a
complete stand along email only hosting solution.
Both of services are described in detail below:

New Service: Email Virus Scanning Gateway Service Launched
If you run your own email server and are looking for an easy, low cost
solution to implementing domain wide virus and Spam filtering to your
inbound email, this new service is for you. All inbound email for your
domain is routed to our filtering service, where the message is passed
through a virus scanner and a Spam filter. If a virus is found, we
repackage the email and send it to its destination with a warning that
the attached message contains a virus. We also apply special headers to
every email that goes through our filtering system, allowing you to
implement header based filtering rules to further redirect or discard
virus infected emails.
Anti-Spam features:
Messages are passed through a Spam scoring system and headers are added
to the message allowing you to control how the email is handled once it
arrives at your email server or email client. We also check the
connecting servers IP address against popular black listing services
like Spamhaus and ORDB as well as our own black list of abusive servers
further reducing your domains exposure to Spam.
Backup Email Service included!
Since we are receiving email for your domain, scanning it and then
forwarding it, should your email server go down we will automatically
store the email for later delivery, up to 7 days. Its like subscribing
to our Backup Email Server Service at no additional cost!

Beware of Fraudulent Domain Transfers
If your domain name is registered with LaneChange.net, all renewal
notices will be sent to you by email ONLY. We never send out renewal
notices by mail.
It has been very common practice for a company known as Domain Registry
of (Canada/America/Asia/Europe) etc. to be sending out letter mail
renewal forms that look very governmental and official to try and lure
your business away from us. Please discard any paper mailings of these
types and if your not sure about the current status of your domain, or
who you should renew with, let us know and we will help you determine
the source of any marketing material you receive about your domain name.
For your added protection, you can now Lock your domain through our
Domain Manager. Locking provides protection against any changes or
transfer requests made on your domain. To activate locking, simply login
to the Domain Manager and click on Domain Locking.
